Jonah & the Whale Tableware Set
The Book of Jonah, Chapter 1 in The Old Testament
God asked Jonah to go to Nineveh to let the people know of their wicked ways. Jonah didn’t listen to God and instead decided to go on a ship and flee away from God. God then sent a storm to happen while Jonah was sleeping on the ship. The other men on the ship knew Jonah got on the ship to flee from the presence of God so they threw him into the sea. God prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. Jonah was in the belly of the great fish for 3 days and 3 nights. Jonah asked God to forgive him, so God spoke to the great fish and it threw Jonah out of its mouth and onto dry land. Jesus later says in the New Testament, as Jonah was in the belly of the great fish for 3 days and 3 nights so will Son of the Man be 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth.
Jonah 1:17 Now God had prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish 3 days and 3 nights.
